SubStrength Finder
The
SubStrength Finder is a set of 78 questions for potential substitute teachers to
identify strengths and weaknesses prior to entering the classroom, with the assumption
that the potential substitute has had little or no experience in the classroom. It provides
feedback to both the substitute and the district on where improvement is needed and direction
on how to do so. Substitute teachers are directed where to look in the SubSkills section of
the site to further develop the skills necessary to be effective in the classroom. This is the
first component of a comprehensive and customized professional development plan for substitute
teachers.
