SubReady focuses on the actions teachers, administrators, and staff at the local site can initiate in preparing permanent teachers and principals for substitute teachers.

The forms offered here are available at no cost and are based on the research and field-tests conducted in schools by STI. They are helpful to substitute teachers who are new to a school (see the School SubBinder) or to a classroom (see the Classroom SubFolder).

The "Principal's Guide Forms" are taken from a publication included in the SubReady Kit called Principal Guide which includes administrative implementation instructions. The SubReady Kit also includes a short video -"SubStory – A Fable"- produced for faculty and staff meetings, and a template disk containing these same online forms. It can be ordered by calling STI at 1-800-922-4693; the cost is $69 per SubReady Kit.

Data may be typed into the fields in each of the PDF files (you will need to have Adobe Reader). However, you cannot save that information so, after you have typed your words, print the forms immediately or your work will be lost.
